I provide supervision for social workers and practitioners at different stages of their professional journey, including those who are newly qualified, experienced practitioners, practitioners moving into new roles, and those seeking space for deeper reflective practice.
My particular areas of practice include social work, domestic and family violence, child and family practice, trauma-informed practice and complex casework.
-
You can bring whatever is sitting with you in your practice. This might include a complex client or case, ethical dilemmas, professional boundaries, challenging relationships, risk and safety concerns, workplace pressures, emotional responses, professional development goals or simply a need to think something through.
You don't need to have a specific problem or agenda. Sometimes supervision is about creating the space to pause, reflect and make sense of your practice.
-
My approach is relational, reflective and power-responsive. I draw on reflective supervision, coaching, strengths-based practice and critical reflection.
I see supervision as both supportive and appropriately challenging. My role is not simply to provide answers, but to help you develop your own thinking, strengthen your practice and remain connected to your professional values and responsibilities.
-
Supervision provides a confidential space to reflect on your practice. However, confidentiality has appropriate professional and organisational boundaries, particularly where there are concerns about serious risk, safety, legal obligations or professional conduct.
We can discuss confidentiality and its boundaries as part of our initial contracting.
-
The frequency of supervision depends on your role, experience, professional requirements and what you need from supervision.
For many practitioners, monthly supervision provides a regular space for reflection and professional development. Practitioners working in high-risk or complex environments may benefit from more frequent sessions.
We can agree on a frequency that is appropriate to your circumstances.
-
Yes. I offer 1:1 supervision online or in person.
Online supervision can provide flexibility for practitioners working across different locations or with demanding workloads.
-
Yes. I offer in-person group supervision, where I come to you. I provide a safe place for shared reflection, professional learning and peer connection.
Group supervision can be particularly valuable for exploring common practice issues, developing collective knowledge and reducing the isolation that can sometimes come with complex practice.
-
Absolutely. Supervision can support both immediate practice needs and longer-term professional development.
Together we can identify areas you would like to strengthen, develop professional goals, explore relevant theory and consider how learning can be translated into your day-to-day practice.
-
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another and establish how we will work together.
We will explore your role, experience, expectations and what you would like from supervision. We will also talk about confidentiality, boundaries, responsibilities and how we will approach supervision together.
There is no expectation that you arrive with everything figured out.

My practice is grounded in social work and DFV, but supervision can be relevant to practitioners from a range of helping professions where reflective, relational and power-aware practice is important.
If you are unsure whether my supervision is the right fit for you, please get in touch for a conversation.
